About Town With William Ashley

The month of October had our fearless leader Jackie Chiesa, video blogging with Jennifer Valentyne on Breakfast Television for the 40th anniversary of the William Ashley Warehouse sale. Fatima visited our favorite counter top specialist, Cambria, giving a talk to respected G.T.A. designers on how to set a table from casual to fine dining. Victoria was brushing up on the latest food trends at Roy Thompson hall, while 60 female chefs showcased their talent for a worthy cause.bt oct2015
From chandeliers to stocking stuffers, from china to linens, the selection is endless and the sale is extended until November 29th.#getyourshopon

We were hard at work showing how to set tables and enhance the dining experience through artful tablescapes. Interior design specialist, Fatima, spoke to an all design crowd on how to think out of the box when it comes to china, crystal and flatware.
ETTB2Thanks to Le Creuset, we attended Eat to The Beat, a fundraiser at Roy Thompson Hall, with proceeds going to Willow- a charity that provides free-of-cost support, insight and information to anyone affected by breast cancer or hereditary cancer, including those at high risk. “First and foremost was the food,“says Victoria, gourmet specialist at William Ashley. “The Drake Hotel offered a cool poke (sushi) with warm Calerose rice. Xola`s fish tacos were bite size heaven. A great DJ played house music accompanied by a live saxophone player. All this for a great cause.“ Watch for the trend towards sweet and savory combinations such as wasabi macarons and pumpkin butter tarts with slow roasted duck. Something to think about for holiday entertaining.
