Tying the Knot Celebrity Style

What tops your I DO list?

Miranda Kerr

It seems like 2017 is the perfect year to say, “I do.” I’m sure you recall Pippa Middleton’s intro to celebrity life- back to the camera at her sister Kate’s wedding (to Prince William no less). Her dress by Alexander Mcqueen propelled Pippa to the front pages of every fashion magazine worth their salt. Here, at William Ashley, we are looking forward to her big day with fiancée, James Mathews. What will their choices be for a vie à deux? Will they choose Herend as their dinnerware purveyor, following in the footsteps of Will & Kate who selected Royal Garden by the prestige Hungarian maker or will she continue on an edgier more minimal path by choosing A La Carte by Rosenthal perhaps?

We know for sure that dinnerware will be first on Miranda Kerr’s wedding list as she gets ready to tie the knot with Evan Spiegel in what will no doubt be a star studded affair. The Australian multi-tasking super model not only owns the runway, she designs a best selling collection of bone china by Royal Albert. Soft pastels and hints of gold accent the vintage inspired look of Friendship by Miranda Kerr.

Make sure to join us at The Colonnade, 131 Bloor Street West on February 1st as William Ashley moves into the future with style!

Gold medal winning swimmer, Tom Daley, said the dress code at his wedding, this year, would be an all swimwear event. According to HELLO magazine, the British Olympian will be marrying his partner Dustin Lance-Black stateside and poolside. Mesh by Rosenthal with its turquoise tint reflects the cool blue of a splashy celebration and is our top pick for by-the-water dining.

What will you choose for your table and home? What will top your own gift registry wish list? In a candid interview with one of our top advisors, Samantha sweeps away the stress of registering in The Breaking Dish article, Registry 101. A point she can’t stress enough is not to feel pressured into thinking your first choice is your last. After taking the time to enjoy your special day, know that your wish list, at William Ashley, is still as flexible as any master yoga instructor. Breath in. Breath out.

White or Ivory? A person to note for her flawless take on fashion is Sarah Jessica Parker who, by the way, stole the red carpet at this year’s Golden Globe Awards in a pristine ghost-white silk gown designed by the reigning queen of all that is bridal, Vera Wang. Our William Ashley favourite casts her scrutinizing eye on champagne flutes to dinnerware with her eponymous brand for Wedgwood. She is a perennial staple on the most discerning wedding lists.
