A core value of Wonki Ware is the goal of creating opportunities for disadvantaged people in the local community. Over sixty people who were previously unemployed have found meaningful work at Wonki Ware, having been taught the necessary skills to become accomplished potters. In turn, these artisans are now training others in the art of creating Wonki Ware.
