ART GLASS TAKES FLIGHT: We are thrilled to host Robin Goad of Iittala North America (Retail-Scandinavian Living). She will be revealing renowned Finnish glassmaker, Oliva Toikka’s, secrets to crafting his vividly coloured, winged, creations. Collecting Toikka birds has become an international activity with collectors tracking down varieties and discussing favourites with the same enthusiasm as their real-life equivalents in the wild. Alice of Alice’s Table will also be in-store creating bespoke floral arrangements to enhance the timeless Nordic design of the Kastehelmi vase for Iittala. You will have a chance to win one of two Toikka birds at the event. No reservation required. Save the date: Saturday, Sept 29th at 3:30pm.

THE ULTIMATE WEDDING: We’ve teamed up with Today’s Bride Magazine to bring you a curated selection of everything bridal. Celebrity chef, Mark McEwan Catering, will be dishing out some delicious morsels to the tunes of a live DJ. There will be a fabulous fashion show (bridal gowns by Loversland) and there’s cake, and there’s stationery and there’s a swag bag valued at over $100! Did we mention a chance to win a dream honeymoon to Thailand? Today’s Bride Magazine’s Editor in Chief, Amy Bielby, will be there to talk 2019 trends. Tickets are going fast, so book here and leave the rest to us! Save the date: Oct 3rd.

DOLCE & GABBANA: We are partnering with Dolce & Gabbana/SMEG as the official Canadian launch for the Sicily Is My Love Collection. This made in Italy project brings the Alta Moda fashion powerhouse of Domenico Dolce and Stephano Gabbana to your kitchen with a collection of small appliances decorated in classically rustic Southern Italian design. Trend Alert: the ultimate in Kitchen Couture, a limited edition (only 100 made) hand-painted SMEG fridge.
